Head Coach
In 2005 Coach John B. DeRossett became the
all-time winningest coach in Blackcat Football history, getting his 73rd win
over the Leslie Co. Eagles in the 1st round of the 2004 play-offs. The
Blackcats, while under the guidance of Coach Derossett, have a District
record of 43-11 and a State Play-off record of 13-10. Coach DeRossett
entered his 12th season as the Blackcat head coach and each year the
Blackcats have made the State Play-offs. Coach DeRossett has coached
several outstanding players that have gone on to excel at the college level.
Two players, Jeremy Caudill and Nathen Leslie, have played professionally.
Coach DeRossett is married to Linda Marie DeRossett (1984 Football
Homecoming Queen). Linda is Co-Director of Therapy Services at
Pikeville Medical Center, John and Linda have two children Alexis Ashley 15,
and Allyson Kate 11, the reside at Bull Creek.

A 1992 graduate PHS, currently teaches P.E. at
Prestonsburg High School. He is a 1998 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University,
earning a Degree in Physical Education and a Minor in Biology. |

Bobby is a graduate of MSU and is the Technology
Coordinator at Prestonsburg Elementary. He is married to Dee, they
have one daughter, Taylor (11). |

Claude is the Special Assistant to the head
coach and takes care of the equipment. He is married to Paula and resides in
Prestonsburg. |

A computer teacher at Allen Elementary. He
is married to Wanda and has two sons, Adam (27) and Jordan (20). |

is married to Leslie and has two children, Zach (19) and Maddy (9). |

A graduate of Pikeville College, Dewey is the Track Coach, and ISS Teacher at Prestonsburg High School.
He has four children, Nicholas (22), Emily (20), Clay (17) and Joseph (14). |

Team Chaplain
Arnold has provided the Blackcats with guidance
and devotional services for the past several years. He has two
children, Ryan and Brent. He also has two grandchildren, Blake and
Celeste. |
